Pat Munro committed to developing the next generation of the young workforce

After a successful recruitment drive during Scottish Apprenticeship Week earlier in the year we are thrilled to welcome five new apprentices to the Pat Munro team.

We recognise the many benefits apprentices bring to our business, not least providing us with the opportunity to develop a skilled workforce relevant to our industry sectors, which is why we remain committed to offering apprenticeship opportunities and supporting the next generation of the young workforce. As a local Highland business, we benefit from a talent pool of enthusiastic individuals who go on to become valuable members of the working team.

In our Garage Department we welcome Louis Masson and Stephen Tarr. Louie started with us at the end of April as a 2nd year Apprentice Plant Mechanic and is continuing his apprenticeship training with our provider – CITB. We would also like to congratulate him for picking up his award in Coventry recently as Scotland’s Plant Mechanic of the Year 2022 at CPA’s, Stars of the Future. Stephen joined us in August as an Apprentice HGV Mechanic and is carrying out his apprenticeship training with our provider – Moray Firth Training.

In July and August we were delighted to welcome Tyler Mills, Joshua Cowan and Lewis Mosey-Lyall. Tyler and Joshua are both embarking on a modern apprenticeship in Construction Operations and Lewis has joined us as a Graduate Apprentice Civil Engineer, carrying out his apprenticeship training with our provider – Inverness UHI

Kerry Wilkie, People & Culture Co-Ordinator at Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd said,

We had a fantastic response to our apprenticeship recruitment drive back in March and are delighted to welcome all 5 of our new recruits to Team Pat Munro. We wish them all the very best in their new roles.
