Future-Ready Weighbridge Installation Supporting A9 Infrastructure Works at Dalmagarry Quarry

Posted on

We’ve strengthened our operational capability at Dalmagarry Quarry, just south of Inverness, with the installation of a new 80-tonne (16m x 4m) modular weighbridge, delivered by John White & Son Ltd Precision Weighing Solutions. The upgrade supports the increased demand for aggregate material supply to facilitate major infrastructure projects in the region, including the ongoing A9 dualling works between Tomatin and Moy.

Dalmagarry Quarry required a weighing solution capable of accommodating high volumes of heavy vehicle movements while maintaining accuracy, reliability and durability in a demanding operating environment. The selected modular weighbridge provides sufficient length and load capacity to weigh articulated and tipper vehicles operating at full capacity, ensuring efficient site throughput and dependable data capture.

John White & Son Ltd worked closely with us to deliver a solution aligned with site requirements and operational programmes. The modular design enabled efficient installation and commissioning while minimising disruption to day-to-day quarry activities. Built for heavy-duty use, the weighbridge is designed to perform reliably in harsh quarry conditions, with straightforward access for inspection and maintenance.

The new weighbridge at Dalmagarry Quarry provides the capacity, accuracy and reliability we need to support both day-to-day operations and upcoming infrastructure works. It’s an important investment in the efficiency of the site,

said Daniel Johns, Commercial Manager, Quarries, Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd.

Working with Pat Munro on this project was significant for both teams. It showed how a collaborative approach can deliver a flexible, modular and affordable weighbridge solution that meets real operational needs, providing long-term value and reliability.
