Pat Munro Foundation Golf Day Raises Over £16,000 for Local Causes

The Pat Munro Foundation's annual Golf Day proved another outstanding success, with players, sponsors and supporters coming together at Invergordon Golf Club on Saturday 30th May to raise vital funds for local charitable causes.

Supported once again by main sponsor Nynas, the popular event attracted 18 teams from across the region for a day of friendly competition and fundraising.

Thanks to the generosity of participants and sponsors, the event has raised over £8,300. With Pat Munro matching the total amount raised, the final contribution is set to reach an impressive £16,600.

All proceeds will go directly towards supporting local community groups, charities, and social enterprises across the areas where Pat Munro operates, making a tangible difference in the lives of those in the community.

A number of local businesses helped make the day possible, including PSG Marine Logistics as Hole-in-One Sponsor, Cairngorm Group as Ball Sponsor, CK Interiors as Ball Marker Sponsor, Carey Window Cleaning as Halfway House Sponsor, Whyte and Mackay as Sponsor of the Drinks Buggies and Royal Dornoch for donating the four ball on their championship course for the 100 squares competition.

On the course, PSG Marine Logistics claimed victory in the Scratch competition, while Bens Bogey Boys took top honours in the Handicap Section.

Individual honours went to Willie Harvey, who enjoyed an exceptional day by winning Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and the Putting Competition.

Hamish Little for The Pat Munro Foundation said:

We would like to thank everyone who supported this year's Golf Day, including our sponsors, players and Invergordon Golf Club for hosting us. We would also like to recognise the Pat Munro employees who make up the Pat Munro Foundation team and who gave their time and effort to help organise and deliver another successful event. Their hard work behind the scenes is instrumental in ensuring the day runs smoothly each year. The event continues to grow year on year, and the funds raised will make a real difference to the communities and causes supported by the Foundation.
