Our Quarry Product division manufacture and supply all manner of aggregates, ready-mix concrete and tar macadam, which have been used in many of the key developments throughout the Highland area for the past 75 years. With production facilities across the Highlands and Moray, we are ideally placed to supply throughout the highland area, and we take great pride in our product and service quality.
Core Functions of Role:
Operate a range of modern Quarry Machinery safely and in line with company procedures, using own initiative and working as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operation & Maintenance of other plant (e.g. Wheeled Loading Shovels, site mixers, Excavators etc)
- Lading trucks, stockpiling material and taking away from stockpiles, loading crushers and screeners
- Ensuring product quality and keeping production records
- Constituent ordering and stock-control
The above list is not exhaustive, and all work activities must be carried out in a safe and efficient mannerin accordance with strict HSE guidelines and Company Health, Safety & Environmental policies are adhered to at all times.
Applicant Qualities
The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills, qualities & experience:
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- CPCS Certificate, although training will be given to the right candidate
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to work on own initiative but also as part of the team
- Demonstrate a “Can Do” attitude and work timeously
- Structured approach to tasks, housekeeping etc
- Interest / ability in mechanical maintenance (training will be provided)
- Experience in construction / Quarry plant operation is an advantage but not essential.
