Concrete Batcher / Asphalt Plant Operator

Core Functions of Role
You will be required to operate and maintain a range of plant and equipment including the Concrete and Asphalt Plant and ensure staffing cover for absence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeping environmental and maintenance records working alongside our maintenance team
- Work to high safety and production standards
- Operate Ready Mix concrete batch plants
- Operate and maintain asphalt plants and equipment
- Monitoring equipment and performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and optimal operation
- General maintenance of the Asphalt plant including troubleshooting
The above list is not exhaustive, and all work activities must be carried out safely and efficiently, ensuring the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies are adhered to at all times.
Applicant Qualities
The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills & experience:
- Full UK driving licence
- CPCS or relevant plant experience
- Willingness to undertake training to achieve high industry safety and production standards.
- Demonstrate ability to be practical, versatile, and enthusiastic with a “Can Do” attitude
- Be willing to work on own initiative as well as part of our team.
- Additional attributes include being trustworthy, friendly, timeous, flexible and reliable.
- Previous Quarry and plant experience is highly beneficial, but training will be given to the right candidate with a willingness to learn
