Since 1972, we have been manufacturing and supplying the coated roadstone which has been used to construct many of the roads in the Highlands. Use of our own aggregates and subsequent delivery in our own large fleet of delivery vehicles, ensures complete control over the supply chain. As surfacing contractors, we have an in-depth knowledge of the factors affecting performance on the site and can adapt to any special requirements which we may feel would benefit the client. Advice can be given on a variety of options which may help to reduce cost or increase quality on the sites. Our surfacing department can undertake the laying of the material to give complete peace of mind and full accountability from the quarry to the road. In-house testing facility, backed up by external independent verification, ensures that production control is tight and that the client can be certain of getting the material to suit their requirement. Our in-house design service, has developed a range of specialised mixes which give optimum performance for the purposes intended. We are the sole manufacturers of ‘Handymac’ cold lay macadam which can be stored on-site for up to six months prior to use. Tried and tested for over 20 years in the rigours of the Highland climate, Handymac offers extremely effective and low cost temporary repair for potholes and reinstatements.
