This is a permanent, position within the Haulage Department. Based at Caplich Quarry Alness, Pat Munro also operates out of two further depots; a quarry in Dornoch and a waste transfer station in Inverness.
Duties include carrying out Daily Vehicle Checks, completion of all necessary paperwork Daily & Weekly, reporting Vehicle defects, adhering to all Health & Safety Requirements.
Reporting to the Managing Surveyor, this role will include a requirement to work closely with our Operations Team to successfully deliver Civil Engineering, Utility, Surfacing, & Building Projects. You will have responsibility for all financial, commercial and contractual issues relating to each of the individual projects which include the appointment and commercial management of sub-contractors.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in quantity surveying and procurement, with suitable relevant qualifications. Self motivated, driven and able to work on their own initiative, the ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms.
This role will involve working within Civils, Utilities and Building Squads operating excavators from 2t to 25t (typically) range.
The candidate would preferably hold CPCS Below and Above 10t Blue Card.

The candidate must have experience in Drainage, Utilities, Kerbing, Slabbing and Concrete Installations; in addition would preferably hold CPCS Wheeled Dumper and Roller Blue Card.
This role will involve working typically on a New Build Housing Scheme operating a 12-14m telehandler. The candidate must hold CPCS Telescopic Handler Blue Card and a valid Full UK Driving License. In addition to this the candidate will be required to perform general labouring duties on the site mainly for loading/unloading, site organisation, safety and coordination.
This is a permanent, full-time position working within our Construction Department. The position is based at our main offices at Caplich, Alness or any operational site as may be allocated, and will report to the Managing Surveyor.
Duties will include assisting in the effective management of all financial, commercial and contractual issues relating to the Construction Department’s workload including Building, Civil Engineering, Surfacing and Utility Works.
