Pat Munro Extends Its Water Industry Registration Scheme Credentials
Pat Munro is pleased to announce it has gained further accreditations under the Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS) operated and administered by Lloyds Register. Contractors with accreditation under WIRS have evidenced high standards of competency in technical, hygiene and health & safety aspects of water infrastructure installation works, resulting in them being licensed to undertake work to the pipeline distribution network of water utility companies. The extended WIRS accreditation recently achieved by Pat Munro means that we are now licensed to undertake the undernoted water installation work-scopes:-
Construction Of Mains and Services
Construction Of Routine Mains Connections
Construction Of Non-Routine Basic Branch Connections

Mark Bramley, Operations Director for Pat Munro, said “We are delighted to have extended our range of fully accredited services under WIRS and, as the only Highland based Contractor to have such a range at this time, we now seek to offer a truly “one-stop-shop” for developers (large and small), consultant engineers and contractors in our area – from liaison with the water utility company, to installation of pipework and final connection to the live water network. We are aware that navigating the specialist area of water utility works can be quite challenging, so our aim is to unburden our clients of those challenges and hassles by providing a fully integrated in-house service.”
