Posted on

Back in 2014 Pat Munro Utilities began a journey to become accredited under the Water Industry Regulation Scheme (WIRS) in order to continue to lay new Watermain’s for the Development community following a policy revision within Scottish Water.  Following successful accreditation back in 2014 Pat Munro have undertaken numerous projects throughout the Highlands and Moray for our strong client base over the last 3 years.  At the end of 2017 saw the time to renew our accreditation under the scheme which representatives from the Lloyds Register undertook vigorous audits on our works and our employees to confirm that we continue to meet the standards expected by the scheme and extended our accreditation to November 2020.

Under the scheme Pat Munro are permitted to undertake Mains and Service Pipe Laying, carry out routine Mains Connections as well as non-routine Basic Branch Connections which allows us to offer our clients a one-stop shop for their watermain needs.  Typical projects that Pat Munro undertake include New Main Installations to Domestic and Non-Domestic Developments, New Service Pipe to properties including mains connection, upgrading existing domestic properties to mains water supply opposed to private supply, New Fire Main installations to non-domestic sites and Main Connections under the status of Utilities Connection Provider.

Should you have an upcoming watermain project please get in touch with our Construction Manager john.dawson@patmunro.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
