Pat Munro make a CLEVER Commitment

Pat Munro, based in Alness and a recognised force in civil engineering, utilities, construction and waste and recycling in the North of Scotland is thrilled and proud to become the newest signatory of the Carbon CLEVER Declaration, a leading project in the Highland Council-led Carbon CLEVER initiative, the aim of which is to support area-wide efforts to make Highland an efficient, attractive and competitive place to live, work and do business.
Veronica Symonds, Pat Munro’s Waste Manager commented, “We realise that we have an important role to play in helping achieve the Carbon CLEVER vision of a carbon neutral Inverness in a low carbon Highlands by 2025. Here at Pat Munro we are committed to reducing carbon emissions from our organisation and working with others in the Highlands to share information and promote good practice.”
As one of its newest signatories, Pat Munro, join a growing list of Highland businesses including Tomatin Distillery, Sureclean and Korrie Renewables.
Stephen Carr, Principal Policy Officer – Climate Change at the Highland Council said “We are delighted that Pat Munro has signed up and made a public commitment to reduce their internal emissions while working with the Council and its partners to join up area wide efforts to reduce emissions throughout Highland. “
“This was well demonstrated at the recent Belladrum festival where Pat Munro worked in collaboration with festival organisers, the Highland Council and festival goers to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill while engaging with individuals to raise awareness and promote low carbon behaviours.”
